Note 1 re James Keenan: I have received a circular
produced on James' death. It reads as follows:
"James Keenan passed away
peacefully on Sunday night 13th August 2006 at Karinya, Berry
(in the far-north of NSW). Jim was born in
Scotland in April 1919 and came to Australia with his family as a young boy. The
family settled at Balgownie (north-west of
Wollongong, NSW). At the age of 17 Jim came to Engadine to work
for his Uncle John who was a builder. After that Jim hit the road as many
did looking for work, hitching a ride on freight trains (ver dangerous). He
married his beloved Sally and they have enjoyed 62 years of marriage, they had
two children - Roy and Annette. The family spent most of their life at
Tarrawanna before downsizing to Corrimal. Jim loved his family, grandchildren
and great grandchildren and his home and garden. His last 5 weeks was at
Karinya Palliative Care. His funeral was held on Wednesday 16th August 2006.
